JP Thomas
Director

JP Thomas is an organizer and government relations professional with years of experience working in campaigns, advocacy, and policy research. He is passionate about improving democracy by empowering those who are traditionally left out of the policymaking process and building nonpartisan strategies to build trust in democratic institutions.

In 2020, he worked as the Voter Protection Organizing Director for the Joe Biden Presidential Campaign in Wisconsin. In addition to three cycles on the campaign trail, he managed federal and state advocacy efforts for national nonprofits in Washington DC. JP also serves as the Vice President for Voice of the People. JP graduated from Duke University, and in his free time, he enjoys music, biking, kayaking, softball, and laughing with his friends.


Allison Stettler
Digital Director

Allison Stettler has more than 25 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations. Before joining Voice of the People in 2013, she served as an information technology and graphic design consultant for a number nonprofit organizations in the greater Washington region, including the Chief Executives Organization (CEO), Junior Achievement of Greater Washington, the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington (AOBA) and the American Conference for the Treatment of HIV (ACTHIV). Allison also worked at the Greater Washington Board of Trade for 15 years, including as Director of Marketing and Web Development.  Allison holds a degree in English from Virginia Tech.


Katrina Fuller
Program Coordinator

Katrina Fuller is a communications professional with over 11 years of writing and editing experience based in Western New York. At The Post-Journal, a Chautauqua County newspaper,  she focused on community-oriented feature writing, covering education, county and state government, and everything in between. During her time with Rep. Tom Reed’s Office, she gained experience as a communication assistant by managing the Congressman’s website and the office’s marketing program. She also dedicated her time to constituent services, aiding constituents with various federal departments, including Social Security, USPS, and Medicare. Most recently, she helped with fundraising and communications as the Director of Development for Chautauqua Striders, a youth development nonprofit.


Steven Kull
Chair

Steven Kull, the Board Chair of Voice of the People Action, is a political psychologist and the director of the Program for Public Consultation, School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland. For two decades, he has conducted in-depth studies of public opinion on public policy issues, in the United States and around the world.

Kull has worked extensively with officials in the U.S. Congress, the State Department, and the United Nations to develop surveys that help policymakers gain greater insight into the public values and beliefs on policy issues. He has testified to Congress, and conducted briefings for NATO, the UN and the European Commission.

Sought after by journalists seeking information on public attitudes on public policy, Kull has been regularly quoted in numerous publications including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and USA Today. He has appeared on NBC News, CBS News, CNN, PBS Newshour, BBC, NPR and many other broadcast outlets.

His writing has been published in The Washington Post, USA Today, Harper’s Magazine, Political Science Quarterly, Foreign Policy, Public Opinion Quarterly and many other publications.
